Victory is coming

There are so many stories in scripture where God’s people were surrounded by their enemies. 


Looking with your natural eyes it looked pretty hopeless, BUT GOD!!


In the book of 2 Kings 6,  there is an EPIC story when Elisha is surrounded by King Aram’s armies. I highly encourage you to read the whole story, but basically King Aram is furious because every time he sets up to attack the King of Israel, Elisha warns the King!!! 


SIDE NOTE 


In the Old Testament, God spoke to his people through His Prophets, today God speaks and guides us by HOLY SPIRIT!!! That’s why Jesus told the disciples to wait for the Holy Spirit to come!!! Become accustomed to recognizing The leading of the HOLY SPIRIT. 


But back to Elisha, when the servant gets up early in the morning he discovers that the town of Dothan is surrounded by an army with horses and chariots!


 He cries out to Elisha, “what shall we do?”


To which Elisha prays, 


“Open his eyes, LORD, so that he may see.” Then the LORD opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.


Go read the rest of the story to hear the magnificent ending….incredibly no blood is shed and Elisha isn’t captured! 


 I pray that we too will have our eyes opened to see what the Lord is doing in the spiritual realm. 


While our enemies aren’t on horses, they surround us with lies, threats, intimidation.


Elisha also said, those who are with us are more than those are with them!!!


That is definitely a tactic of the enemy to intimidate, to make you feel isolated, as though you are the only one. That you are outnumbered!!!!! BUT GOD!!!! 


Father in the name of Jesus, I ask you to open up our eyes to see what you are doing in the spiritual realm and to fill our hearts with peace knowing that our enemies are surrounded and their days are numbered. We pray that you will expose the corruption and wickedness of those “in charge” and bring the destruction that they’ve planned for us on their own heads! That you Oh Lord will receive all the glory!!! 


 Can I get an Amen?

Encouraging Prayer

The Lord gave me this prayer for a friend several years ago, but I want to encourage all my sisters with it. Father I ask for you to give my sister revelatory knowledge from your heart to hers for your plan. As she diligently seeks you, will you draw near to her and lead her. Give her wisdom and favor and every resource she needs to complete the work you have called her to do. Shower your blessings upon her. May you continue to draw people into her life who you have drawn to you. May she continue to water the thirsty, feed the hungry and give hope to those when there is no hope. Will you pour out your spirit into her life more powerfully than ever before. Will you drench her so that she will have an endless supply to give. May she be right in the center of your will, for that is the safest place. May you receive all the glory for all that you do In her life. selah!

SOUL HEALING

Progress! I have eluded to the fact that what is happening to my home is paralleling what is happening in my soul! The peeling paint (wounds from past hurts, often related to father wounds) The worn siding - hope deferred, disappointment, broken promises The rotten wood - unforgiveness, bitterness (I was totally blind to this) But He makes all things N E W. Just as you can’t put new siding on top of old wood, the lord wants to bring us to completely wholeness. His word says in 3 John 1:2 Beloved, I pray that in every way you may succeed and prosper and be in good health [physically], just as [I know] your soul prospers [spiritually]. Do you get that connection? We prosper and are In health as our soul prospers. So if we are harboring sin (bitterness, resentment, unforgiveness) there is only so much prospering that can happen….. as the accuser in the courts of heaven has legal right until we deal with these areas.
