Courts of Heaven

There is a warrior within each of us for there is a battle to be fought. But scripture tells is that we fight not against flesh & blood but principalities & powers. When we focus on the natural, it’s actually more of a distraction, because we need to be fighting in the spiritual realm. That fight isn’t with earthly weapons, but often in the courts of heaven……on our knees. 2 Cor 10:5 says…. casting down arguments & every HiGH THING that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ, It is destroying those high places in our lives where IDOLS have been set up! (By us or our ancestors) It is removing those things that don’t honor the Lord. It is searching our hearts to find the SIN that we are blinded to. The easiest way to think about idolatry is that it is anything that is in our lives that takes the place of God. Anything that we’ve allowed to take first place. Let me give you some examples… Habit of Reaching for your phone to look at social media instead of spending time in the secret place. GUITY as charged. Striving to build something (e.g. business, ministry) rather than letting the Lord bless the work of our hands & allow Him to bring the increase. GUILTY as charged Food, cigarettes, alcohol anything that we go to to comfort our souls, to numb the pain instead of turning to the Lord. Success, followers, sports, higher education …honestly anything that can take the high place in our lives, I’d say if it’s consuming your thought life… it’s probably an idol. Why am I making such a big deal about this? Simply put, those idols give the enemy legal right! When he has a legal right, he can wreak havoc on our lives- with sickness, disease, poverty, broken relationships etc.. He is our accuser in the court of heaven. In my own life I have been praying for the Lord to expose those areas that have sought too much of my attention & it’s embarrassing to admit that had happened, and more embarrassing to admit that I was blind to it!!! So going back to the courts of heaven You are the defendant And the enemy of your soul is the prosecutor & he will take every sin, every generational sin, every word you’ve ever spoken & use it against you. If you say, “oh things don’t work out for me,” “my relationship is struggling,” “I’m a failure…” He will use those words against you in the court of heaven…… But we have Jesus, we come into the court boldly but with humble hearts, we come out of agreement with the words we have spoken, we put an axe to the root of the sin, we destroy those altars we have built and we plead the blood of Jesus over our lives and acknowledge that it is by GRACE that we have been SAVED. When we do this, these high places are demolished & we are free, healing comes! Fight on your knees today & ask the lord to search your heart❤️
